Release Notes

This is release of BizUnit 4.0

BizUnit 4.0 is a major release introducing some fundamental changes around the ability to create both coded tests as well as XML (XAML) tests.

The installer includes
  • The 4.0 binaries
  • The source code
  • The help file
  • A getting started guide

Not all of the 3.0 test steps have been converted, though the new test step format makes writing test steps significantly easier. Please download it, have a play and give feedback! Note that the version number has been reset to 4.0.

An excellent test framework with lots of out of the box test steps and much extensibility in that you can easily create your own custom test steps to complement the out of the box steps. I'm a big fan.

I find this Framework very useful in conjunction with test capabilities found in Visual Studio 2010. I even included a recipe in my BizTalk Server 2010 Cookbook (http://www.packtpub.com/biztalk-server-2010-for-developers-and-administrators-cookbook/book) about working with this framework.

I hate to rate this poorly, as I appreciate the time and effort the author has put into this. Although I'm new to BizUnit, I can't get a simple file transformation test to work with this release. I've looked all over the web for examples but everything I've found references older versions. Even the documentation on this site seems to reference old libraries like Microsoft.Services. I will try 3.1
